Cape Parrots, Magoebaskloof

Posted on Updated on

We stayed at Agoris Cabin in Magoebaskloof these last two days. Early each morning the Cape Parrots started flying over the forest just in front of us! We followed a track to where we could hear them and there they were! The parrot in the picture on the left was investigating a hole in this Eucalyptus log for almost an hour – since Yellow wood trees had been cut down these endangered parrots have difficulty in finding suitable nesting sites.
