A pair of Bateleur. During territorial display Bateleurs will raise their folded wings before taking a bow while calling. This picture was taken on one of our recent birding trips through the Kruger National Park.

The Blue Crane is the national bird of South Africa. I took this picture of two birds doing a courtship dance from a flock of over a hundred birds which we found near Swellendam in the Western-cape recently.

Rock Pratincoles are specialized nesting birds. We found them on rocks in the Chobe River in Botswana where the water runs fast and deep. Our guide has such a passion for birds and his photography knowledge is a asset for birding photographers as he maneuver the boat for best lighting and composition.
